TechShell is a server that offers secure shell (SSH) accounts & web hosting services to the public, including both paid & free-of-charge services. The server hardware is a Dell Precision T5500 Workstation, running Xubuntu GNU/Linux.

The main menu is a table of contents with further details about the server's hardware, services offered, terms of service & account registration. The menu also contains extra material useful to both new & experienced users alike.

This server can now run Gopherspaces, with the help of Gophernicus. Users can now build & present their own Gophersoaces, which can be accessed through a browser that's capable of supporting the Gopher protocol (such as the eLinks, Lynx & gopher browsers available through TechShell,) or through Floodgap System's Gopher proxy.

It's been four years since experimenting with the Acer Aspire V5-171-6815 Ultrabook as a web server; even though the experiment was a complete success, the server had to be taken offline, since the bandwidth needed to host so many users would be staggering &, at the time, the ISP maintained an unreasonably low bandwidth cap, making the service infeasible. Thankfully, with a change in ISP & hardware, this service is back up & running once again, this time with both free & paid hosting options available.
